Duncaster Achieves 99% Vaccination Rate

Duncaster achieved a significant milestone in 2021, when it became one of the first LifePlan Communities in Connecticut to successfully vaccinate over 99% of its residents and staff. “At Duncaster, we emphasize educating and communicating the benefits of vaccine to residents and staff. Achieving this milestone goal underscores our ongoing commitment to the safety of everyone at our community,” said Kelly Papa, Acting President and CEO. “When measured against State (67%) and National (57%) vaccination rates, Duncaster’s 99% rate is an accomplishment to be celebrated,” said Ami Desai, Chief Operating Officer. According to AARP, the national goal is to get 75% of staff fully vaccinated in every senior living community.
