It’s a Bear Fair!

Also in 2021, Duncaster was a proud sponsor of a bear in the West Hartford Bear Fair. Benefitting the not-for-profit organization, For All Ages, the colorful bear helped the organization attract donations to help them achieve their mission of creating intergenerational programs that benefit residents across the State of Connecticut.

Reflecting the theme, ‘Together in Harmony’, the bear was designed and painted by an intergenerational team, including Duncaster residents Jackie Brown and Carol Forte, and Northwest Catholic High School students Ann Tran and Victoria Lang. Fittingly, our bear’s sneakers bore the logos of For All Ages, Duncaster, Northwest Catholic High School and West Hartford, CT.

We named the bear “Harmony,” to represent our belief that social engagement is a basic human need, and that when people of all backgrounds come together in harmony, we elevate each other and our communities. Harmony the bear presently resides on the Duncaster Town Green where she is enjoyed by all.
